      10 Billion Strong

      • Green leaders academy teaching fellows

Support the Next Green Leaders Academy as a Facilitator and Mentor

The Green Leaders Academy is a eight-week, 15 module virtual program hosted on the Crew platform for emerging and current environmental leaders from across the world who are interested in understanding critical environmental issues, developing leadership skills, and understanding how to use the levers of power to drive change.

The next Academy will run from March 7-May 2, 2022. The Teaching Fellowship starts on February 7 and concludes on May 15, 2022 (14 weeks).

        Purpose
The purpose of the teaching fellowship is to provide a support structure for our participants. A related goal is to share our methodology and structure for the course with our teaching fellows, in order to support the development of future trainers and leadership within our community

        Summary of Responsibilities
Teaching fellows support the course by helping to recruit and on-board participants, engage with participants during the course, help mentor participants, and support monitoring and evaluation efforts. The teaching fellows will serve as advisors for both participants and 10 Billion Strong staff. Fellows will help ensure that each participant has a voice, is supported, and feels connected to our community. They will help the participants work through the content and advise them if they have any trouble completing their assignments or following instructions.

        Benefits

This is a volunteer position. All Teaching Fellows will receive hands-on support from 10 Billion Strong staff. They will also be guided in the development of their environmental leadership practice through mentorship, coaching, and career advice. Teaching Fellows will also have access to opportunities to learn about program design, partnership development, facilitation, monitoring and evaluation, and critical digital skills that are necessary to create and manage the program.

All Teaching Fellows who complete the entire fellowship will receive a certificate of accomplishment.
